Looking back at the beginning of the LINING Liren series, the LINING Liren 1, released in 2020 as an e-commerce exclusive online, adopted the sole mold from the LINING Yushuai 11. The upper design was ordinary, and at that time, no one foresaw its potential.
The LINING Liren 2 marked a turning point in 2021, with an independent design that broke free from the shared sole base. The introduction of the middle sole's Boom technology, lightweight cushioning technology, gave the series its first competitive edge, and the "Stone in Jade" colorway attracted market attention.
The LINING Liren 3V2 became a key turning point, as the full-length Boom technology and Boom technology Mesh upper were introduced simultaneously. From then on, the V2 version established itself as the paradigm for the series' evolution.
The LINING Liren 4 achieved a breakthrough with smooth lines and a wide range of colorways. The design investment surpassed that of Li Ning's traditional performance shoes, and the low-top design combined with continuous technology improvements allowed it to rank among the brand’s top-tier models.
The LINING Liren 5 introduced an innovative dual-split PEBAX propulsion structure that provides both support and force transmission. In the past, V2 versions of the LINING Liren series usually made adjustments to the collar height or updated materials while maintaining the main design. However, the LINING Liren 5 launched with both high-top and low-top versions, raising the stakes for the LINING Liren 5V2’s innovation. 
When the LINING Liren 5V2 was unveiled, its disruptive appearance led many to mistakenly assume it was an early release of the LINING Liren 6. However, its core design logic is similar to that of the All City 12 and Encore series, making it an entirely new creation.
Visually, the LINING Liren 5V2 has a more rounded silhouette, softening the sharp edges to emphasize the rolling sensation design and focusing on optimizing the smooth transition of the foot during running.
The midsole uses CoreCore technology, integrating PEBAX plates with Boom technology into a molded foam structure. This improves the fit while enhancing responsiveness, with rebound in the forefoot and heel improved by 2.3% and 1.3%, respectively, compared to the previous generation.
For the first time, supercritical foaming material is fully enclosed with dual-density TPU reinforcement. This breaks the "anti-formulaic" framework while maintaining the series' stability genes and adhering to the LINING Liren series' classic design philosophy.
The TUFF RB outsole continues the simple zonal tread design, optimized for slip resistance in high-impact areas and gait characteristics, continuing the series’ tradition of reliable performance on the court.
The appearance retains its minimalist, speed-focused shape, precisely meeting the needs of running-type players. The high-quality design will still attract those with a focus on aesthetics.
